Ideal for travelers with limited time, the safari blends affordability with authentic experiences. You’ll witness large elephant herds, diverse birdlife, and seasonal migrations in Tarangire, then descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, where you can spot the legendary Big Five along with countless other species thriving in this natural amphitheater.

Your journey begins early in the morning as your safari guide picks you up from your hotel in Arusha or Moshi. After a briefing, you’ll head to Tarangire National Park a 2-hour scenic drive through Maasai villages and rolling landscapes.

On arrival, you’ll enjoy a game drive through the park, home to the largest concentration of elephants in northern Tanzania. Tarangire is also known for its ancient baobab trees, prides of lions, and seasonal migration of zebras, wildebeests, and gazelles.

You’ll have a picnic lunch inside the park, overlooking the wildlife-rich Tarangire River. In the afternoon, another game drive gives you more chances to spot giraffes, buffalos, warthogs, and cheetahs.

By evening, you’ll drive to Mto wa Mbu or Karatu for dinner and overnight stay at a budget lodge or camp.

After an early breakfast, you’ll drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, descending over 600 meters into the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater. This natural wonder is home to more than 25,000 animals, including the Big Five.

Your half-day game drive will take you through grasslands, swamps, and forests where you might see black rhinos, hippos, lions, leopards, hyenas, and countless bird species.

A picnic lunch at the Hippo Pool allows you to relax while watching wildlife in their natural habitat.

In the afternoon, you’ll ascend the crater and drive back to Arusha/Moshi, arriving in the evening.
